We hope that you all enjoyed your summer holidays. In the meantime, we have prepared new versions of many of our products. There are new Releases of the ANSI C based OPC UA Client/Server SDK Bundle and UaModeler, as well as Service Releases of all other products.

The OPC Foundation will build on last year’s success and continue the popular OPC Seminar Tour in North America this autumn. Take the chance to get the latest update on OPC UA technology and hear why it is essential for Industrie 4.0, M2M, and the Internet of Things. UA Workshops: There are still a few free seats available at our OPC UA workshop on September 20–23. If you’d like to join spontaneously, don’t hesitate to book now. For those who need to plan early: The last courses for 2016 are held on November 28–December 1. More information can be found below and on our website.

ANSI C based OPC UA Client/Server SDK Bundle V1.7.0—Release

A new Release of the ANSI C based OPC UA Client/Server SDK Bundle is available for download. This Release offers lots of new features and improvements. The monitored item handling has been revised, considerably decreasing the memory usage. The authorization module now doesn’t need a file system anymore, and the trace can now be configured at runtime. More details and information about further improvements and bug fixes can be found in the changelog.

UaModeler V1.5.0—Release

A new release of UaModeler is available in our Download Area. It contains new versions of the template sets and adds support for the ANSI C based OPC UA SDK V1.7.0. It is now possible to enter NodeAccessInfo to specify access rights on a per node basis. Furthermore, various new features related to models have been added.

OPC UA Workshops in Erlangen, Germany

There a few free seats at the workshop in September. For those of you that need to plan further in advance we have another date in November/December. Don’t hesitate and book your seat now.

OPC Unified Architecture Introduction (two days): This Seminar gives a detailed introduction into the base concepts of the OPC Unified Architecture platform and provides an overview of all features of OPC UA.
This workshop is targeted on development managers, software architects, technical managers, developers and product managers.

OPC UA Developer Workshop (two days): In this workshop, participants learn to create their own OPC UA Server and Client applications by implementing the main features in sample OPC UA client and server applications. Participants can use this knowledge to create their own connections to any device or system using OPC UA.
This workshop is targeted on developers and software architects. Base knowledge in object oriented software development and C++, C#, or Java is required.

OPC Seminar Tour in North America, Sep 09–Nov 11, 2016

Unified Automation will sponsor the OPC UA Seminar Tour in North America hosted by the OPC Foundation this autumn. This seminar tour will focus on the rich feature set of OPC UA and the unique ways these features are put to use in real applications. Meet the experts, network with OPC enthusiasts, and talk to state-of-the-art technology leaders. A Unified Automation representative will be at each of the events, looking forward to meet you there.
