Unified Automation GmbH - Newsletter December 2015

Dear OPC UA Enthusiast,

2015 was an exciting year for OPC UA. Amongst the various successful Events and Trade Shows around the world, we have presented the vast potential of OPC UA, especially the US Roadshow was a great success with a highly interested audience.

The topics “Internet of Things” and “Industrie 4.0” have gathered speed, with a whole lot of new products to come. OPC UA will take an important role, as it has been announced as one and only recommendation for the reference architecture model of Industrie 4.0 (RAMI 4.0).

Furthermore, AIM Germany and the OPC Foundation have presented a new Companion Specification, which creates the prerequisites for successfully integrating AutoID into the concept of Industrie 4.0.

But more is yet to come: The OPC UA has started a Pub/Sub working group to enhance the OPC UA Standard with real time capabilities and Cloud Connectivity. We are proud that the working group uses Unified Automation’s SDKs for prototyping.

To get you jump-started we have scheduled several OPC UA workshops, which will help you to get a fast and easy access to the topic.

On behalf of the entire Unified Automation team I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a happy and a successful New Year 2016.

Stay tuned on OPC UA. Hope you enjoy reading.

Yours sincerely
Jürgen Boxberger
CEO Unified Automation GmbH
