the last few months have been the greatest challenge we have faced in the last decades. The health threat to which our families and friends are exposed has led to massive changes and restrictions in our private lives. Even though we are now loosening the lockdown at least in some areas, our professional life has also changed forever. The economic effects are not yet foreseeable, especially in the context of our globalized world. The Corona crisis, due to its global scope, may be more disruptive than all previous economic crises taken together.
I would like to thank you *personally* and on behalf of Unified Automation for your patience and continued confidence in our products and services. Our sales and technical support teams have been reorganized to work closely with you to best meet your needs. We are fully aware that we play a key role in providing OPC technology, services and support to you. As the economy grows at different speeds in different countries, we will gradually return to what is known as the "new normality". We know that you are facing similar challenges and that we must see the crisis as a shared opportunity.
Times of crisis have always been a good time to invest. Many of our customers use the period of production downtime to modernize and upgrade their production lines and automation systems. If we can get anything positive out of Covid-19, it will be the big step towards digitalization and Industry 4.0. This is a unique opportunity to drive the adoption of OPC UA technology on a large scale. Together we can make the difference and ultimately exit the crisis stronger than we came in.
