Walldorf, Germany - May 25, 2011

Unified Automation was sponsor of the OPC Europe one day event hosted by SAP in St. Leon Roth, Germany. In SAP's Audimax around 220 participants followed the presentations of OPC Foundation officials, vendors and end users showing their experience with OPC UA. During breaks participants could - besides the excellent catering - speak to UA Experts that lined up the foyer. This event surely strengthen the confidence in UA technology and showed the commitment of vendors and users to go for a new communication standard.

We are pleased to present our first Unified Automation Newsletter in new design.
We want to keep you informed about new product releases and tools we develop at Unified Automation GmbH. In addition we give details about trainings, seminars, workshops and upcoming OPC events. Not to bother you with frequent emailing, we decided to publish this newsletter quarterly.
In this edition we announce the release of our new version 1.3.0 of the C++ based OPC UA SDK. There is a free evaluation version of the worldwide most selling OPC SDK available for download.

The designer for OPC UA information models was released in its first initial version. This tool is targeted to developers of OPC UA Servers and includes the base Server model, the DI model and the PLCopen model. Software architects and developers can create additional models including custom types and instances. From this design the UaModeler can create source code in C++ or ANSI C that can directly be used in our OPC UA Server SDKs. Coding of OPC UA Servers will not get any simpler than this.
